Chris Eubank Jr. will pay a hefty £375,000 fine after weighing in 0.05lb over the limit for his Saturday grudge match against Conor Benn.
Despite a second attempt, the 35-year-old failed to make the 11st 6lb limit. Benn, looking trim, weighed in at 11st 2lb and quipped, “Show me the money,” on social media.
This latest incident adds to Eubank Jr.’s financial penalties, having already been fined £100,000 for throwing an egg at Benn.
The weigh-in took place behind closed doors, with Eubank Jr. arriving late and later posting a video hinting at a difficult weight cut.
Despite missing weight, the fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is still on, with both fighters also subject to a Saturday morning rehydration limit.
