Al Ahly have parted ways with Swiss coach Marcel Koller following their CAF Champions League semi-final elimination by Mamelodi Sundowns on away goals.
The club confirmed the departure on Saturday after Friday’s 1-1 draw in Cairo.
Al Ahly thanked Koller for his successful tenure, which included back-to-back Champions League titles in 2023 and 2024, despite recent disappointing results in other competitions.
A temporary staff will lead training ahead of the Club World Cup, with plans to honour Koller.
He leaves after managing 159 matches with 108 wins. The club now seeks a permanent replacement.
