Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki has pledged to go an extra mile in supporting athletes to develop their talents.
She was speaking after watching her KCCA Leopards beat UCU Lady Canons 63-61 on Friday at the Lugogo arena.
“These people keep KCCA on the top in terms of sport. As I said, I enjoy seeing these young people display their talents and we are ready to go a mile and help them develop their talents beyond Uganda. I am happy we had a win and this is a winning team,” she noted after meeting the team.
Despite football dominance, Buzeki aims at supporting every discipline endorsed by the institution.
“We are not only focusing on football, but all sports and we encourage our staff to get involved. You will see me in other games,” she added.

Hajara Najjuko’s two long jump shots gave the UCU Lady Canons a one-point first half lead.
The Lady Canons however returned with improved execution and opened up a three-point lead going into the final period.
In a nail-biting finish, the Leopards managed to secure a two-point victory on the night.
Nyamwenge led the Leopards’ scoring with 22 points while Shilah Lamunu scored 13 points to lead the UCU Lady Canons chats.
