The Uganda Tennis Open 2025 is set to return from 10th to 24th May, bringing together top tennis talent from Uganda, the region, and beyond for one of the country’s most prestigious tennis tournaments.
The event will take place at the Lugogo Tennis Complex and Kampala Club Limited, with matches expected to showcase high-level competition, sportsmanship, and community spirit.
Established in the early 1980s, the Uganda Tennis Open has grown into a landmark fixture on the national and regional tennis calendar.
This year’s edition will feature singles and doubles competitions across three categories: juniors, pro event (seniors 18+), and senior veterans.
The tournament will be officiated by Charles Wanyama, an International Tennis Federation (ITF) White Badge Referee.
The total prize purse for the 2025 event stands at UGX 20 million, offering strong incentives for players competing in the pro categories.
Among the standout names confirmed for this year’s event are David Oringa, Frank Tayebwa, Patience Athieno, and Winnie Birungi—some of Uganda’s top-ranked players.
The Uganda Tennis Open 2025 is supported by major sponsors including Plascon Uganda, National Council of Sports, Jibu, Ruparelia Foundation, and the International Tennis Federation.
All interested participants must register by 8th May 2025 at 5:59pm via the Uganda Tennis Association’s official tournament website: ugandatennis.clubspark.net.
