Carlo Ancelotti will become the highest-paid international manager after agreeing a lucrative deal to coach Brazil following his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Tasked with leading the Selecao to next year’s World Cup, the Italian will reportedly earn £8 million ($11 million) annually.
Ancelotti’s Madrid are likely to finish the season trophyless after a recent loss to Barcelona left them seven points behind in La Liga.
Brazil currently sit fourth in World Cup qualifying. Ancelotti will complete the season with Madrid, with Xabi Alonso expected to succeed him.
