Chelsea legend Florent Malouda has surprisingly suggested that forward Christopher Nkunku, struggling for game time under Enzo Maresca, should consider a move to Arsenal.
Nkunku, who joined Chelsea two years ago but has been hampered by injuries and limited Premier League starts behind Cole Palmer, has only scored six league goals for the Blues.
Malouda told Racing Tipster that “Arsenal or Bayern Munich would be the right kind of place for him to go,” while also expressing his hope that the Frenchman would fight for his place at Chelsea.
He noted the mental aspect of Nkunku’s struggles and the importance of regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Nkunku previously starred in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig, scoring 58 goals in his last two seasons.
While Bayern could offer a familiar environment, Arsenal have previously signed players from Chelsea and might be interested if the price is right.
Nkunku will be hoping for more playing time, potentially in the upcoming Conference League final and Friday’s match against Manchester United, as his Chelsea future remains uncertain.
