Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Al-Nassr is uncertain as the Portuguese star reportedly stalls on extending his contract, demanding significant changes within the Saudi Pro League club.
According to Goal.com, Ronaldo’s demands include the dismissal of the current coach, sporting director Fernando Hierro, and a clear-out of half the team.
Ronaldo’s current contract is set to expire this summer, and despite expectations of an extension, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is said to be frustrated with the club’s lack of success.
Having secured only one trophy in his two-and-a-half years with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo is pushing for a major overhaul to improve the team’s competitiveness.
Specifically, Ronaldo wants a new director with complete control over transfer decisions.
He also believes that several players are not up to par, reportedly naming Aymeric Laporte, goalkeeper Bento, and striker Wesley as players he wants the club to move on from.
However, he is content with forwards Sadio Mane and Jhon Duran remaining at the club.
