The Uganda National Lacrosse League (UNLL) resumes on Saturday, May 17, with six eagerly anticipated fixtures set to take place at NEC Grounds in Bugolobi.
Following a high-octane opening weekend, teams now shift their focus to maintaining momentum or bouncing back, with timekeeping expected to play a crucial role in the tightly scheduled matchday.
Table-toppers Buroni Panthers will be under the spotlight as they face two stern tests against Metropolitan International University (MIU) and fellow title hopefuls MUBS Lacrosse.
The Panthers, who secured maximum points from Matchday One, will be looking to preserve their unbeaten start but face a demanding schedule that could stretch their depth.
MUBS Lacrosse, currently second on the table, also face a tough outing with three matches on the day.
They begin their campaign against Blink Kobs at 9:00am before clashing with Bombo Army SS at 10:20am and rounding off the day against the Panthers at 11:40am.
With a potential nine points on offer, MUBS have a chance to leapfrog into first place if they can navigate their packed schedule successfully.
Meanwhile, Blink Kobs, who are yet to register a point, will be eager to get their campaign back on track in their two fixtures against MUBS and MIU. The Kobs will need to improve on their Matchday One performance if they are to climb off the bottom of the standings.
MIU, also with just one point, have a similarly demanding day with two games lined up. They meet the Panthers at 9:40am and return against Blink Kobs at 11:00am.
FCA Warriors and Bombo Army SS, both tied on three and one point respectively, will face off in the final fixture of the day at 12:20pm. The Warriors will be hoping to bounce back from a split outing on Matchday One, while Bombo Army SS seek their first win of the campaign.
As teams battle for early positioning in the standings, Matchday Two is poised to deliver another round of fast-paced, Olympic Sixes lacrosse action.
