The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially confirmed that the final of the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 PM under the floodlights at FUFA Stadium – Kadiba in Kampala.
The announcement was made in a statement released by FUFA’s Competitions Department, which also extended congratulations to the four semifinalists: Kitara FC, Vipers SC, KCCA FC, and Kataka FC.
“We encourage the qualifying teams to prepare accordingly,” the statement read in part. FUFA added that further details regarding match-day arrangements will be communicated after the conclusion of the semi-final second leg fixtures.
Vipers SC currently hold a slender 1-0 advantage over defending champions Kitara FC following the first leg played at St Mary’s Stadium.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, May 17 at Butema Stadium in Hoima. Meanwhile, KCCA FC take a commanding 3-0 lead into their second leg clash with FUFA Big League side Kataka FC, set to be played in Mbale.
The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup will not only claim national glory but will also earn a spot in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
However, should Vipers SC, who have already secured the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title, go on to lift the cup, the Confederation Cup slot may be reallocated to the league’s second-placed team.
