Palace Sweat on Guehi and Wharton Fitness After FA Cup Win

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that key players Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton will miss their upcoming Premier League games against Wolves and Liverpool after being hospitalized with concussions following their FA Cup final victory.

Guehi and Wharton sustained head injuries during Saturday’s historic 1-0 win over Manchester City at Wembley.

While Guehi was discharged from hospital on Saturday night, Wharton posted an update from his hospital bed.

“Adam and Marc will definitely miss tomorrow’s game,” said Glasner, adding Wharton would also miss the Liverpool match. Guehi’s availability for the Liverpool game remains uncertain.

Their potential absence for England’s upcoming internationals is also a concern.

Glasner revealed the team had not trained since the final and would need to refocus for their remaining league fixtures as they aim to break their Premier League points record.
