The Indiana Pacers delivered a stunning overtime victory over the New York Knicks, winning 138-135 in Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
The Pacers, who trailed by 17 points in the fourth quarter and 14 with less than three minutes left, mounted an incredible rally.
Aaron Nesmith hit five clutch three-pointers, and Tyrese Haliburton forced overtime with a last-second two-point shot.
Haliburton, celebrating what he thought was a game-winner, even mimicked Reggie Miller’s famous ‘choke’ celebration.
“I’m so proud of the resilience of this group,” Haliburton stated.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 41 points. Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is Saturday in New York.
