The Uganda National Lacrosse League (UNLL) regular season will reach its climax on Friday, 23rd May 2025, with the final round of league fixtures scheduled to take place at NEC Grounds in Bugolobi.
With playoff spots on the line and final standings still undecided, all eyes will be on the three pivotal matches set to determine who advances — and in what order.
Table-toppers MUBS Lacrosse, unbeaten so far, will face Metropolitan International University in a bid to finish the season with a perfect record.
MUBS have dominated the league with four wins from four and boast the best goal difference by a wide margin. A win or even a draw would confirm their status as the No. 1 seed heading into the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Buroni Panthers take on FCA Warriors in a clash that could significantly alter the playoff rankings.
Both teams are tied on points along with Blink Kobs, making this fixture potentially decisive in determining who grabs the crucial second and third seed — and who might slip to fourth.
In the third and final fixture, bottom-placed Bombo Army SS will face Blink Kobs. While Bombo are already out of playoff contention, the match remains vital for Blink Kobs. A victory could lift them as high as second, depending on the outcome of the Panthers-Warriors game and goal difference calculations.
At the conclusion of Friday’s matches, the top four teams on the table will advance to the playoffs, which begin immediately with the semifinals:
- The 1st placed team will take on the 4th in Semifinal 1.
- The 2nd and 3rd placed teams will face off in Semifinal 2.
Winners from both semifinals will meet in the championship final, where the 2025 UNLL title will be decided.
With only one league game left for each team, the stage is set for a tense and thrilling end to the regular season, with teams not only fighting for wins but also for strategic playoff positioning.
