Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is confident his team can handle the pressure of their “do-or-die” Champions League qualification clash against Nottingham Forest this Sunday.
A win at the City Ground should secure Chelsea’s return to Europe’s elite competition after a two-season absence.
Chelsea are currently fifth, ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference and one point clear of seventh-placed Forest, who also have a chance at qualification.
Maresca stated, “When you join Chelsea you feel pressure from day one.”
Despite a strong home record, Chelsea’s away form has been inconsistent.
Following the Forest match, Chelsea will face Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League final on Wednesday, with Maresca confirming he’ll need to rotate his squad due to the quick turnaround.
