Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports, H.E. Salim Mvurya, has dismissed doubts surrounding the country’s ability to host the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in August 2025.
He stated that ongoing CAF inspections are routine and part of standard protocol to ensure tournament readiness.
CS Mvurya confirmed Kenya’s full commitment to hosting CHAN alongside Uganda and Tanzania, highlighting significant infrastructure upgrades at stadiums like Kasarani and Nyayo, and the payment of the KES 1.6 billion hosting fee.
He urged the public to disregard misinformation, asserting that Kenya is on track to deliver a successful and historic tournament.
