Two FUFA women’s football champions, St Noa Girls SS and Kampala Queens, face off this Wednesday afternoon in the FUFA Women Cup quarterfinals at the MTN Omondi Grounds in Lugogo.
The hosts, Kampala Queens, are awaiting their official coronation this weekend as the 2024/25 FUFA Women Super League champions, having secured the title with three games to spare.
Meanwhile, the visiting St Noa Girls SS were crowned FUFA Women Elite League champions over the weekend following a 1-0 victory against Asubo Ladies in the final.
The newly promoted St Noa Girls side completed their second-tier campaign unbeaten, conceding just one goal throughout the season.

Kampala Queens, on their part, have only suffered a single defeat in the league as they head into the final match day.
“Surely, it is one of the games that defines the season. We’ve been training and preparing despite a packed schedule involving national, school, and international commitments. We hope fatigue won’t be a factor. It will be a tough game for us, but we are ready,” said St Noa Girls head coach Jimmy Kintu after their final training session on Tuesday.
Kampala Queens midfielder Patience Nalubobi expressed confidence ahead of the tie.

“We’ve prepared well and want to progress as we continue our push for a season double. This would be my second time winning it, and I’d be glad if the journey continues,” she noted.
St Noa reached the quarterfinals after eliminating Olila High School in the round of 32.
Kampala Queens, who were knocked out at the same stage last season by eventual champions She Corporate, advanced after defeating She Maroons on penalties following a goalless draw in regular time.
