Chelsea secured their place in football history tonight, coming from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1 in the UEFA Conference League final.
The victory makes them the first club to win all five major UEFA club competitions.
Trailing 1-0 at halftime to an Abde Ezzalzouli goal, Chelsea exploded in the second half.
Cole Palmer was the catalyst, assisting Enzo Fernandez’s equalizer (65′) and Nicolas Jackson’s go-ahead goal (70′). Jadon Sancho added a stylish third (83′), and Moises Caicedo sealed the 4-1 triumph in injury time.
The win marks Enzo Maresca’s successful first season, adding the Conference League to a Champions League qualification.
It also ends a dominant 27-final winning streak for Spanish teams against foreign opposition.
While heartbreak for Real Betis, Chelsea now look ahead to the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
