Morocco U-17 coach Nabil Baha has labeled his side’s FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 Group B as “balanced” but cautioned against underestimating any opponent.
Drawn with Japan, Portugal, and New Caledonia, the reigning African U-17 champions aim to surpass their quarter-final finish from the last edition.
“Portugal is a very big football nation, and Japan plays very well,” Baha stated, adding, “New Caledonia, we don’t know much about, but nowadays, as they say, there are no small teams in the world.”
Morocco will kick off their campaign against Japan, followed by New Caledonia, and conclude group play against Portugal.
Baha is confident in his “great generation” of players, emphasizing the need for hard work to “go as far as possible” in the expanded 48-team tournament.
