The second round of the National Basketball League (NBL) tips off tomorrow evening with two fixtures scheduled at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Table leaders KCCA Leopards will open proceedings against JKL Lady Dolphins, followed by a clash between the unbeaten Namuwongo Blazers and JT Jaguars. Both games will be broadcast live on NBS Sport and Afromobile as the race for playoff spots intensifies.
In-form KCCA Leopards, led by Ninette Uwineza, Tracy Namugosa, Perus Nyamwange, and Martha Soigi, will aim to complete a season double over their rivals following a 75-67 win in the first round.
That defeat remains one of only two losses for defending champions JKL Lady Dolphins, who will look to bounce back with the help of returning star Ritah Imanishimwe, veteran guard Flavia Oketcho, Agatha Kamwada, and league MVP Hope Akello under the guidance of coach Henry Malinga.
In the men’s fixture, the Namuwongo Blazers will seek to extend their unbeaten run as they renew their title charge against JT Jaguars, whom they comfortably defeated 83-57 in the first round.
