Vipers captain Milton Karisa has issued a passionate rallying cry ahead of the 2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup Final, declaring his team is fully prepared and willing to fight for every moment as they face KCCA FC this Saturday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
“We as players, we are prepared,” Karisa said. “We know this is a different championship and we are ready to always die for the badge, to die for the team because we know many people sacrifice a lot of their time, their money and everything to come — and we’ll just play.”
Karisa’s words reflect a deep sense of commitment and pride within the Vipers camp as they chase a second piece of silverware this season.
The Uganda Cup, one of the most prestigious titles in Ugandan football, offers a chance for Vipers to cap off their campaign in style.
Head Coach Fred Muhumuza supported his captain’s sentiments, underlining the significance of the final.
“It’s not going to be an easy championship and we are trying to prepare well. We’re managing the fatigue levels of the boys, but they are responding very well. It’s the last game of the campaign and we don’t take it lightly. We are going to come out, pull out and try and win on Saturday,” he said.
KCCA, who are also eyeing the trophy, head into the final equally confident. Head Coach Jackson Magera said his side is determined to perform and not just participate.
“We are not going there to watch but going to perform and get victorious. We think this is the moment to get the silverware,” he said.
KCCA captain Julius Poloto added, “We have been preparing for the final very well. We are ready and we know the magnitude of the game.”
