Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has turned down a massive offer from Saudi Pro-League club Al-Hilal, reportedly worth more than double his current salary.
The decision, made after discussions with his family, has delighted Manchester United, who were never formally presented with a bid but expected Al-Hilal to offer £80m-£100m.
Fernandes, who has scored 98 goals in 290 appearances since joining in 2020, is expected to address the situation in a press conference soon.
Former United defender Gary Neville praised Fernandes’s loyalty, calling his decision a significant boost for the club.
