AS Roma has appointed Gian Piero Gasperini as their new manager on a three-year contract.
The 67-year-old, who led Atalanta to Europa League glory in 2024 and a third-place Serie A finish this season, replaces Claudio Ranieri.
Ranieri, 73, who came out of retirement last November to guide Roma to a fifth-place Serie A finish and a Europa League spot, has now stepped into an executive role at the club.
Roma stated, “Gasperini’s career is defined by its creative tactics, dedication to hard work, and exceptional player development. Both ownership and Claudio Ranieri believe Gasperini is the right man for the mission.”
This move signals a new era for the Giallorossi.
