The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed the continuation of its Talent Identification Programme across various regions following a successful opening event held on 7th and 8th June at Saza Ground in Iganga, Eastern Uganda.
The initiative, which aims to assess and identify emerging young football talent, attracted participation from numerous schools, academies, coaches, and guardians.
FUFA praised the strong turnout and the commitment shown by stakeholders in supporting youth development in football.
FUFA has reiterated its intention to reach more areas in the coming weeks, with details of upcoming sessions to be communicated.
The programme provides a unique platform for young players to be evaluated by professional scouts, offering a potential pathway to regional and national team opportunities.
To those who missed the Iganga session, FUFA has encouraged participation in future events.
The FUFA Talent Identification technical team remains active on the ground, continuing to evaluate players across various age groups and positions.
The federation has called on the football community to maintain its support as efforts to build a stronger foundation for Ugandan football press on.
