Belgian midfield star Kevin De Bruyne has completed his free transfer to Italian champions Napoli after leaving Manchester City.
The 33-year-old, who will play under Antonio Conte, was unveiled with a “King Kev” themed announcement, prioritizing Champions League football over a move to MLS’s Chicago Fire.
De Bruyne departs Manchester City after a decade, where he won 19 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and City’s first Champions League in 2023.
His emotional farewell marked the end of an era during which he made 422 appearances and scored 108 goals.
Manchester City have already signed Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki to fill the void.
De Bruyne joins former Premier League players Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour in a Napoli side that recently won Serie A, setting up a potential Champions League reunion with his former club.
