Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder, is reportedly close to signing a two-year deal with French club Monaco.
The move would mark the 32-year-old World Cup winner’s return to football after an 18-month doping suspension.
Pogba’s ban, initially four years, was reduced after the Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed he inadvertently took DHEA, a banned substance, but noted its performance-enhancing effect only applies to females.
Having mutually terminated his Juventus contract in November and eligible to play since March, Pogba is poised to restart his career in his home country.
