Bournemouth have significantly strengthened their defense with the signing of French left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes in a deal worth up to £14.4 million.
The 23-year-old, a 2024 Paris Olympics silver medalist, has agreed a five-year contract.
The transfer, an initial £11.4 million with potential £3 million in add-ons, also includes a 10% sell-on clause for Rennes.
Truffert’s arrival comes as current Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is reportedly in talks to join Liverpool.
Truffert expressed excitement for the “ambitious project,” while Bournemouth’s President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto, praised his “significant experience” despite his young age.
Truffert made 212 appearances for Rennes, where he became club captain.
