Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured their first summer signing, bringing in forward Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo for £19 million. The 21-year-old left-footer has signed a five-year deal at Molineux.
Lopez made his senior debut for Celta Vigo in October 2024, scoring four goals in 20 appearances last season and helping them to a seventh-place La Liga finish.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for my career to play in the Premier League and I’m very happy,” Lopez told the Wolves website, citing manager Vitor Pereira’s influence.
He added, “I played at the Bernabeu twice, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid… now I want to do the same, but in England.”
Lopez briefly trained with Norwich City’s academy in 2018 before joining Celta Vigo. His arrival follows the recent sales of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United (£62.5m) and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City (£31m).
