Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has expressed his desire to play alongside Barcelona’s teenage star Lamine Yamal, fueling speculation about a potential move.
While training in Spain, Rashford told influencer Javi Ruiz, “Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully… we’ll see.”
Rashford, 27, lauded Yamal, 17, for his exceptional talent, calling his performances “difficult to put into words.”
The comments come after Rashford’s loan spell at Aston Villa last season, following his exclusion from the Manchester United squad by manager Ruben Amorim.
Barcelona’s sporting director Deco has previously indicated interest in Rashford. However, any transfer would face significant financial hurdles for Barcelona due to La Liga’s strict “1:1 rule,” which limits their spending.
The club is already facing difficulties finalizing a deal for Nico Williams due to these financial constraints.
Rashford, who has predominantly played on the left, also noted his increasing comfort in the central striker role.
