Brentford’s set-piece coach, Keith Andrews, is the top candidate to become the club’s next manager.
This follows Thomas Frank’s recent departure to Tottenham Hotspur.
Discussions with the 44-year-old Irishman are progressing well, though the club isn’t rushing the appointment.
Andrews, who joined Brentford in July 2024 from Sheffield United, would be taking on his first managerial role.
He previously served as assistant manager for the Republic of Ireland from 2020 to 2023.
Frank, 51, managed Brentford for seven years, leading them from the Championship to the Premier League in 2021.
While other names like Ange Postecoglou, Kieran McKenna, and Francesco Farioli were linked, it appears Brentford is favoring an internal promotion, similar to Frank’s own path.
