Manchester City’s highly decorated goalkeeper, Ederson, has firmly denied reports linking him with a move away from the club, labeling them “99% fake news.”
The 31-year-old Brazilian, currently with City at the Club World Cup, emphasized his future is at the Etihad Stadium despite entering the final year of his contract.
Ederson, who joined City in 2017, has been instrumental in their recent success, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.
Despite admitting to a significant offer from Saudi Arabia last summer, he stressed, “My future is here… My head is here.”
Manager Pep Guardiola offered a non-committal but positive response, stating he’s “so pleased” with Ederson’s training and acknowledging his “spectacular decade” with the club.
While Porto’s Diogo Costa has been linked with City, Ederson’s strong declaration aims to reassure fans of his continued dedication to the English champions.
