Uganda’s 2024 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) campaign will begin on 4 August 2025 against Algeria at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
Placed in Group C, the Cranes will face some of the continent’s most competitive home-based national sides.
After their opener with Algeria, Uganda will return to action on 8 August to take on Guinea, followed by a clash with Niger on 11 August. They’ll conclude their group fixtures on 18 August against South Africa.
All matches kick off at 8 PM local time, with Mandela Stadium as the consistent venue.
The CHAN tournament, reserved for players active in their domestic leagues, is being co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Though the matches are being played in August 2025, the tournament retains the official title CHAN 2024, reflecting its original scheduling before postponements.
