Lando Norris secured his third victory of the year at the Austrian Grand Prix, leading a dominant McLaren one-two ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.
The win slashes Piastri’s championship lead to just 15 points.
The McLarens were unchallenged, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finishing a distant third.
The race saw early drama as Max Verstappen was eliminated on lap one after a collision with Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli, who received a three-place grid penalty for next weekend’s British Grand Prix.
Norris described the intense battle with Piastri as “a lot of fun and stress,” with the teammates swapping positions early on.
Despite Piastri’s relentless pressure and a late scare where he was forced onto the grass, Norris held on for a crucial win.
Outside the top two, Lewis Hamilton finished fourth for Ferrari, followed by George Russell in fifth for Mercedes.
Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) secured sixth and seventh respectively, while Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) earned his first F1 points in eighth.
The Formula 1 season now heads to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix from July 4-6, where Norris will aim for a home victory.
