The Uganda Cranes have entered their second week of non-residential training at Luzira Prison Grounds, ramping up preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with visible hunger and high spirits.
With the tournament just around the corner, the players are pushing themselves hard in every session. Intensity is rising, team chemistry is building, and the group looks fully locked in on the task ahead.
Attacking Midfielder Allan Okello, one of the leaders in camp, praised the effort being put in by everyone.
“Today was a tough one. We’ve been working hard in unity, and everyone is ready to give their best during the CHAN tournament,” said Okello.
Defender Gavin Kizito echoed the same sentiments, applauding the team’s fitness and growing momentum despite the recent break.
“This was our first day in the second week of training. Though we’ve been in off-season, all players are in good shape. We’re picking up slowly and getting stronger each day,” Kizito noted.
Uganda will host Group C matches with the opener against Algeria at Namboole.
