Harry Kane scored his 40th and 41st goals of the season, leading Bayern Munich to a dominant 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the FIFA Club World Cup last 16 at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The England captain’s brace secured Bayern’s spot in the quarter-finals.
An early own goal from Erick Pulgar in the 6th minute, followed by Kane’s first strike just three minutes later, gave Bayern a quick 2-0 lead.
Gerson pulled one back for Flamengo in the 33rd minute, but Leon Goretzka restored Bayern’s two-goal advantage before halftime.
Flamengo fought back again in the second half with Jorginho converting a penalty in the 55th minute.
However, Kane sealed the victory for Bayern with his second goal in the 73rd minute.
Bayern will now face European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals on Saturday, July 5.
Flamengo, despite their 11-match unbeaten run coming to an end, will return to Brazilian Serie A action on July 17.
