With the spotlight firmly on Kampala, Uganda has fielded a formidable 17-player squad, banking on home support to gain the edge in what has become one of the most diverse para sporting events in the country’s history.
Athletes from as far as India, Peru, Sweden, Estonia, and Cameroon are competing, adding a rich international flavor to the tournament.
Among Uganda’s standout hopefuls is Hassan Mubiru, competing in the SL4 category, who’s locked in on a spot in the final.
“This is my chance to gather points and represent Uganda in Nigeria. I’m focused and ready,” he said, determined to make his mark.
