Tunisia and African giants CS Sfaxien are set to sign Ugandan international and attacking midfielder Travis Mutyaba, who is set to leave French side Girondins Bordeaux FC after just one season.
Mutyaba joined Girondins Bordeaux at the start of the 2024/25 season on a four-year contract, but he’s now on the verge of exit, with interest from CS Sfaxien, as per multiple local and Tunisian reports.
While at Bordeaux last campaign, Mutyaba, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €100,000, made 24 appearances across the League and the Coupe de France.
He also made three appearances with the reserves team, scoring one goal with an assist.
Previously, he played for Zamalek in Egypt which he helped to the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.
He also featured for record Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa, the Vipers Junior Team, Synergy in the Futsal competition, Bulemeezi in the Buganda Masaza Cup, as well as Gombe High School and St. Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende.
Meanwhile, internationally, Mutyaba has risen through various national team ranks, playing at the U15, U17, U20 and U23 levels, as well as the senior team, the Uganda Cranes.
Since his debut with the latter in 2021, he has contributed two goals and six assists in 24 competitive matches.
