CAF has launched the final round of host nation inspections and readiness workshops in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, just weeks before the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The first inspection was held on Friday, 4 July, at Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The newly refurbished 50,000-seater stadium is set to host Group A matches and the tournament final on 30 August 2025.
The CAF team wrapped up its Nairobi leg on Saturday, 5 July, with a visit to Nyayo National Stadium.
The delegation will continue its assessment in other host cities, including Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Kampala (Uganda), and Zanzibar.
Before Friday’s stadium visits, CAF conducted a series of workshops with Local Organising Committee (LOC) departments, focusing on key operational areas like broadcasting, safety and security, logistics, and team transport services.
CAF’s inspection team then proceeded with its mission on Saturday by revisiting Nyayo National Stadium for final evaluations and to offer recommendations for any outstanding improvements.
