Ugandan international and playmaker Travis Mutyaba, has officially left French side Girondins Bordeaux FC after just one season, for Tunisian top-flight outfit CS Sfaxien.
This marks the 19-year-old’s third team in a period of just under 12 months. It should be recalled that Mutyaba was on Zamalek’s books in July 2024, just before he completed the switch to Girondins Bordeaux.
The youngster made the move to the latter at the start of the 2024/25 season on a four-year contract in October. Nine months and a campaign later, he has joined CS Sfaxien.
Meanwhile, at Bordeaux last campaign, Mutyaba, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €100,000, made 24 appearances across the League and the Coupe de France.
He also made three appearances with the reserves team, scoring one goal with an assist.
With Zamalek in Egypt, he won the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.
In the past, he played for record Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa, the Vipers Junior Team, Synergy in the Futsal competition, Bulemeezi in the Buganda Masaza Cup, as well as Gombe High School and St. Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende.
Meanwhile, internationally, Mutyaba has risen through various national team ranks, playing at the U15, U17, U20 and U23 levels, as well as the senior team, the Uganda Cranes.
Since his debut with the latter in 2021, he has contributed three goals and three assists in 28 competitive matches.
