Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven has revealed the pivotal moment he decided to leave Arsenal for the Red Devils: a captivating Europa League match against Rangers.
Heaven indicated the electrifying atmosphere at Old Trafford and United’s personalized “charm offensive” sealed the deal, a move that included introductions to coach Ruben Amorim and Sir Alex Ferguson.
“That was the game that made my mind up,” Heaven stated, highlighting the stadium’s unparalleled noise and the kindness of United staff. “I saw myself playing in that team while I was watching. I felt like three at the back would suit me.”
Heaven, whose mother Lisa is also his FIFA-licensed agent, has made six appearances for United since his January transfer.
After recovering from an ankle injury in March, he’s now back in pre-season training, preparing for United’s first friendly against Leeds on July 19.
