Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has publicly expressed his desire to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, stating the 21-year-old would “become twice the player” if he leaves Old Trafford.
Garnacho is reportedly one of five United players looking to depart this summer, having fallen out of favor with manager Ruben Amorim.
De Laurentiis believes there’s a “fault at United” stifling Garnacho’s potential, despite his earlier promise under Erik ten Hag.
Napoli, fresh off a Serie A title win and Champions League qualification, have already signed Scott McTominay from United and secured Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer.
Garnacho has also faced recent criticism from fans for controversial social media posts.
A move to Naples would see him join a growing list of notable players at Antonio Conte’s side, aiming to reignite his career.
