Tottenham Hotspur have initiated talks with Nottingham Forest over a potential £60 million move for midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
A move for the 25-year-old England international is expected to accelerate soon.
Gibbs-White, who scored seven goals and provided eight assists in 34 Premier League games last season, was previously on Manchester City’s radar.
Despite Forest being under no pressure to sell after Anthony Elanga’s £55 million transfer to Newcastle, Spurs are stepping up their efforts.
Under new head coach Thomas Frank, Tottenham is also set to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham for £55 million and has an interest in Brentford attacker Yoane Wissa.
