Herbert Achayi has described his return to KCCA as a homecoming, saying he’s thrilled to wear the yellow shirt again after a season away.
Speaking to the club’s official website after signing a two-year deal, the defender said, “It feels incredible to be back home. This club holds a special place in my heart, and I am happy to have the opportunity to represent KCCA FC once again. I am ready to give my all, work hard, and go again one more time.”
Achayi, a product of the club’s academy, made his senior debut in 2017 and spent seven years at Lugogo before his brief stint with Express.
He returns with valuable game time under his belt, having featured in 22 league matches last season and averaging 90 minutes per outing.
His words highlight the emotional bond he maintains with the club and signal his intent to lead from the front as KCCA rebuild for the new campaign.
Known for his adaptability across the backline, Achayi’s presence is expected to provide much-needed balance and maturity to the defence.
