BUL have announced that head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko has signed a new two-year contract, extending his stay at the club until 2027.
The announcement, made on Monday, July 14, 2025, via the club’s official website, puts an end to speculation surrounding the future of the technical bench.
The extension comes despite Kikomeko’s current suspension by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel, signaling the club’s strong belief in his long-term vision and leadership.
“BUL is delighted to announce that head coach Bogere Abbey has signed a new two-year contract,” the club said in a statement.
Kikomeko took charge ahead of the 2023/24 season and has overseen consistent progress, including:
- Back-to-back FUFA Super 8 titles in 2023 and 2024
- A second-place finish in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League, just one point behind the champions
- A strong third-place finish in the most recent campaign
After signing the new deal, Kikomeko reaffirmed his commitment to the club’s goals.
“I’m excited to be signing another two-year contract with BUL. I promise to keep working hard to fulfill my dream of winning the Uganda Premier League for this great club,” he said.
As the 2025/26 season approaches, Kikomeko will aim to build on recent momentum and guide BUL to their first-ever league title.
