Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is suing the club for alleged negligent medical advice.
Tuanzebe, 27, who recently joined Burnley, filed a high-value legal claim with the High Court last week, reportedly seeking over £1 million.
The lawsuit pertains to an undisclosed injury Tuanzebe sustained in July 2022. That season saw him sidelined for 195 days before a loan spell at Stoke.
Tuanzebe, who came through United’s academy and played 37 times for the first team, including the 2021 Europa League final, left the club in 2023.
Both Tuanzebe’s lawyers and Manchester United have declined to comment on the ongoing legal matter.
