Over 30 Chief Executive Officers ditched their suits for sneakers this past weekend, diving into a lively day of sports and team spirit at the CEO Outing held at Jeph International University in Butabika.
The event, part of the monthly Corporate Games held every second Sunday, brought together top executives and their staff for a full day of physical activity and bonding. It wasn’t just about goals and hoops—it was about building stronger relationships through sport.
Dubbed the “CEO Outing,” the gathering featured 14 disciplines, including football, basketball, netball, athletics, and woodball. Executives didn’t just watch from the sidelines.
They jumped right in, setting an energetic tone for their teams and proving that leadership extends beyond the boardroom.
NBS Sport, the official media partner, captured the day’s action and energy, showing CEOs laughing, running, and even competing with their employees. From sweat to smiles, it was a showcase of how sport can bridge the gap between leadership and staff.
Among the high-profile participants was Denis Ngabirano, CEO of the National Lotteries Regulatory Board. He underlined the importance of such gatherings not just for fitness, but also for professional networking and industry collaboration.
“Participating in the corporate games gives us a chance to keep fit and connect with other government agencies,” Ngabirano said.
“As the gaming body, these events also allow us to promote responsible gaming—reminding everyone that gambling should be seen as entertainment, not a way to make money.”
Now firmly cemented as more than just a sports day, the CEO Outing continues to evolve into a high-impact platform for wellness, leadership, and advocacy.
