The 2025 Corporate Run was officially launched over the weekend during the monthly Corporate Games Outing at Jeph International University in Butabika.
Slated for October 12, the run promises a powerful mix of fitness, purpose, and corporate solidarity.
This year’s theme, “Run for Her Life”, underscores the event’s humanitarian focus.
More than just a run, the initiative aims to raise funds to support vulnerable expectant mothers who still face deadly risks during childbirth due to the lack of essential medical supplies.
Speaking to NBS SPORT, Ian Rumanyika, Chairperson of the Corporate Games, didn’t mince words.
“There are so many vulnerable expectant mothers who die daily simply because they lack essential items during childbirth. It’s heartbreaking to watch lives lost while giving life. This run is about changing that,” he said.
The event will feature 10km, 5km, and 3km routes, open to runners of all experience levels.
New this year is the CEOs Walk—a symbolic and inclusive addition designed for executives who may prefer a brisk walk but still want to back the cause.
In 2024, the Corporate Run raised over UGX 30 million, which funded Mama Kits for Eastern and Northern Uganda.
Organizers now aim to surpass that total and extend support to mothers in Central and Western Uganda as well.
