Brentford has completed the signing of England midfielder Jordan Henderson on a two-year contract after his recent departure from Ajax.
The 35-year-old, a former Liverpool captain, won numerous trophies during his 12 years at the club, including the Premier League and Champions League.
He spent six months with Saudi side Al-Ettifaq before joining Ajax in January.
Brentford manager Keith Andrews praised Henderson’s motivation and leadership.
“He’s still phenomenally fit and he’s still phenomenally motivated,” Andrews said, adding that Henderson would be a “brilliant addition” to the squad.
