Kenya’s national team coach Benni McCarthy has adjusted his provisional squad for the upcoming 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).
The South African legend has recalled goalkeeper Bryne Omondi and midfielder Marvin Nabwire while dropping five other players.
Omondi, who recently left Bandari, and Nabwire of Kenya Police FC are back in the fold as the team ramps up preparations.
The players dropped are Brian Opondo (Tusker), Kelly Madada (AFC Leopards), Keith Imbali (Shabana FC), and Ulinzi Stars duo Yakeen Muteheli and Staphod Odhiambo.
Kenya will kick off their historic CHAN tournament debut on August 3 against DR Congo at Kasarani Stadium.
The tournament is co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
