Premier League champions Liverpool have rejected a £58.6 million offer from Bayern Munich for star forward Luis Diaz, reaffirming that the Colombian international is not for sale.
The German club’s bid was turned down on Tuesday, with Liverpool valuing the 28-year-old at over £87 million.
Diaz, who scored 22 goals last season for club and country, is considered a key player under new manager Arne Slot.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are actively pursuing a new striker and has a “firm interest” in Newcastle’s Swedish international Alexander Isak.
The club is understood to have made “genuine moves” to sign Isak in recent days.
