Newly appointed MC Alger head coach Rulani Mokwena is quickly building his technical staff, bringing in a mix of new and familiar faces.
The coach, who recently took the reins at the Algerian champions, has announced his new key appointments.
Mokwena’s new team will include AmaZulu FC’s Wendell Robinson as goalkeeper coach, and Enzo Donis, the current assistant coach for the Togo National Team, as his assistant.
Additionally, Sibusiso Mahlangu, who worked with Mokwena at Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad AC, will join as the fitness coach.
Speaking on Metro FM, Mokwena explained his decision-making process, highlighting the importance of retaining some existing club staff for their knowledge of the team’s culture and success in the CAF Champions League.
He described his choices as a “well-thought-out space,” noting that Donis, a Belgian with experience at AS Vita, also brings expertise as a set-piece coach.
The move to MC Alger follows a challenging season for Mokwena at Wydad AC in Morocco, where the team finished third in the league and missed out on CAF Champions League qualification.
