The 2025 USSSA Ball Games II Lacrosse Championship has officially wrapped up in Tororo, with Empower International Academy and Bombo Army Secondary School emerging as national champions in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.
Both teams, along with runners-up in each category, will represent Uganda at the FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya, from August 12 to 19.
In the Girls category, Bombo Army SS girls completed a fairy-tale run, going from bronze medalists in Soroti last year to national champions in Tororo.
Their gritty 7–6 semifinal win over reigning champions Nabisunsa set the tone for a powerful finish.
Muzza High School finished second after a strong campaign, including a shock win over Nabisunsa in the group stages.
Nabisunsa settled for third after a late push in the classification matches, while Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga and Kigezi High rounded off the standings.
Muzza’s standout performer Ijangolet Tracy walked away with the Girls’ Most Valuable Player award, having dominated the midfield and inspired key wins throughout the tournament.

In the Boys category, Empower International Academy capped off a dominant campaign with an unbeaten record and the national crown.
Their pace, structure, and sharp execution left no doubt as they stormed past Bombo Army SS in the final to take top honors.
Bombo Army boys also impressed, securing second place and earning their first-ever FEASSA qualification in lacrosse.
Kigezi High School claimed bronze after bouncing back from a rocky start, while hosts St. Peter’s College Tororo finished fourth.
Empower’s Twinamasiko Owen was named the Boys’ MVP, standing out with goals, assists, and defensive stops that lifted his side to the title.
